Assistant Professor – Political Science

About the role

DBS Global University is looking for a passionate Assistant Professor of Political Science to join its faculty. The successful candidate will teach both undergraduate and postgraduate students, mentor their academic and career development, and contribute to the university’s research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses covering Political Theory, Indian Government & Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, Public Administration, Constitutional Studies, and Public Policy.
• Prepare lesson plans, study materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Mentor students in academic, research, and career matters.
• Conduct original research, publish in reputable journals, and present at conferences.
• Participate in faculty development programmes and departmental activities such as curriculum development and accreditation.

Required profile

• Master's Degree and Ph.D. in Political Science.
• NET/SET qualification as per UGC regulations.
• 2‑5 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized higher‑education institution.
• International exposure or education from an international university.
