Assistant Professor – Language Faculty for Online MBA

About the role

The Amrita Online MBA Program is seeking an Assistant Professor for the Language Faculty to deliver high‑quality business and professional communication courses to postgraduate students. The role involves planning, creating, and delivering live online sessions, as well as supporting students in developing workplace‑ready English skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan course curricula, develop content, and record academic material for online delivery.
• Conduct live online classes according to the academic schedule and facilitate interactive discussions, case‑based learning, and activities.
• Design quizzes, assignments, case analyses, and examination papers (end‑semester, supplementary, second‑chance).
• Teach Business Communication and Professional Communication, covering business writing, presentations, negotiations, and interpersonal skills.
• Provide language proficiency assessments, placement tests, and targeted support such as interview preparation, resume writing, and professional etiquette.
• Evaluate MBA mini‑projects and semester‑long projects.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, Batch Advisors, and the Head of Programme; maintain programme documentation and institutional records.
• Undertake additional academic and administrative duties as required.

Required profile

• MA in English or Communicative English.
• NET qualification or PhD in a relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to teach English language and communication skills at the postgraduate level.
• Experience with online teaching platforms and virtual classroom management.
