Assistant Professor – Game Design

About the role

Sir Padampat Singhania University is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Professor to lead its Game Design program. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, shaping curriculum, and guiding students through live industry projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and practical sessions in Game Design and Development.
• Develop and continuously update an industry‑aligned curriculum.
• Mentor students on live projects, fostering creativity and technical proficiency.
• Provide hands‑on training using modern game development tools.
• Establish and maintain collaborations with game studios and related industries.
• Contribute to research, innovation, publications, and academic accreditation activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Game Design, Game Development, Animation, Digital Media, Computer Science, Design, or a related field.
• Ph.D. preferred as per UGC norms.
• 2–3 years of teaching experience and/or relevant industry experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Unity and Unreal Engine.
• Experience using Blender and Maya for 3D asset creation.
• Strong knowledge of game mechanics, level design, and storytelling.
• Capability in 2D/3D game design and interactive media.
• Familiarity with AR/VR, AI in games, gamification, and emerging technologies.
