Assistant Professor – B.Com (Commerce) – Full-Time

About the role

PWDU is looking for a passionate Assistant Professor to design and deliver high‑quality B.Com content for its technology‑enabled, UGC‑compliant Open & Distance Learning programmes. The role involves creating digital learning materials and conducting live online classes for undergraduate commerce students.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update curriculum, self‑learning materials, e‑content, video lectures, assessments and other learning resources for B.Com subjects.
• Deliver courses through the Learning Management System (LMS) and conduct engaging live online sessions.
• Design, evaluate and grade assignments, quizzes, continuous assessments and examinations.
• Mentor students, address academic queries and moderate discussion forums.
• Collaborate with course mentors, subject‑matter experts and fellow faculty to ensure effective delivery.
• Maintain academic quality, originality and compliance with UGC ODL Regulations and NEP 2020.
• Track learner progress, keep course records and recommend curriculum improvements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (M.Com) in Commerce from a recognised university.
• NET qualification preferred; Ph.D. in Commerce or related field is an advantage.
• Prior experience in teaching, curriculum development or online education is preferred.
• Familiarity with UGC ODL Regulations, NEP 2020 and Outcome‑Based Education.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Experience using AI‑enabled teaching tools and digital‑first pedagogy.
