Assistant Merchandiser – Furniture Industry

About the role

The Assistant Merchandiser at Purewood is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Jodhpur. You will support merchandising activities by coordinating product assortments, maintaining accurate product data, and assisting in planning stock levels for both retail and export orders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate product assortments and maintain up‑to‑date product specifications.
• Assist in planning and managing stock levels for domestic and international orders.
• Collaborate with sales and production teams to track order status and ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to address queries and provide updates.
• Prepare basic reports and gather market feedback to inform merchandising decisions.
• Support visual merchandising inputs and basic marketing activities for product promotions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of merchandising processes.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Interest or experience in sales and retail, preferably in furniture, home décor, or related industries.
• Basic understanding of marketing concepts.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Jodhpur and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in merchandising, inventory coordination, or customer‑facing roles is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data entry, reporting and documentation.
