Assistant Manager - Risk Containment Unit

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Risk Containment Unit will support daily fraud monitoring, investigation and reporting for Bajaj Finance Ltd. The role focuses on minimizing fraud exposure, ensuring robust portfolio health and driving continuous improvement of risk processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform analytics on suspect transactions and report findings to senior management within defined timelines.
• Investigate fraud and dispute cases, conduct root‑cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyse direct fraud trends and implement measures to limit risk.
• Own the end‑to‑end central RCU workflow, ensuring case closure within TAT and high‑quality investigation reports.
• Track and review location visits by RCU managers and support field teams with triggers from central monitoring.
• Collaborate with back‑end teams to improve fraud catch rates and automate processes.
• Maintain error‑free dashboards and circulate them as per schedule.
• Propose credit‑policy adjustments and new strategies to prevent malpractice.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of fraud monitoring, reporting and investigation processes.
• Ability to prepare daily, weekly and monthly fraud monitoring reports.
• Experience coordinating with field teams (rural and urban) to ensure timely investigations.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous process improvement.
