Assistant Manager – Production

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Production will oversee shift‑based manufacturing of dispersions, ensuring consistent quality, safety and cost‑effectiveness at our plant in Mangalore.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage production shifts to meet quality targets and reduce batch cycle times.
• Lead a team of officers and operators, guiding them to achieve international product standards.
• Implement and monitor Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) systems, including 5S, PPE usage and work permits.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards and statutory emission limits.
• Act as incident/emergency controller during off‑hours and serve as EHS representative on shift.
• Maintain documentation for Responsible Care and conduct SHE/MSDS training for plant personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 3–6 years of experience in chemical process manufacturing.
• Knowledge of process safety, environmental protection codes and quality management systems.

Required skills

• Chemical process engineering.
• ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 compliance.
• SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) implementation.
• MSDS handling and hazardous chemical management.
