Assistant Manager - Procurement

About the role

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Assistant Manager – Procurement to lead sourcing activities, support RFPs, negotiate with suppliers and manage order fulfillment. The role ensures cost‑effective procurement while delivering a high‑quality customer experience within the aerospace and defence manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute procurement processes, including RFP preparation, negotiation, and cost analysis.
• Respond to internal client inquiries regarding order status, changes, or cancellations.
• Prepare purchase orders, approve payments and negotiate pricing under general guidance.
• Compile price proposals, financial reports and data to support pricing decisions.
• Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Coordinate with suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages or delays.

Required profile

• BE or Master’s degree with 7‑10 years of relevant supply‑chain or procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of lean principles and contractual terms.
• Familiarity with aerospace drawings, specifications and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of export regulations to ensure full compliance.
• Experience developing and managing supplier relationships.
