Assistant Manager – Human Resources

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Human Resources will support the HR function by managing recruitment, employee lifecycle, compliance and performance processes across the site. This role ensures smooth operations of attendance systems, contractor management and statutory adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit vacant positions as per the organisational structure.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle from hire to retire.
• Oversee performance management and conduct required committee meetings (Canteen, Safety, etc.).
• Coordinate monthly contractor meetings, educate on inspection findings and employer responsibilities.
• Administer time‑office and attendance systems, ensuring accurate shift updates.
• Maintain 100% compliance with DGMS Guidelines, Factories Act and other labour laws.
• Maintain contractor records, registers and returns to achieve nil observations during inspections.
• Prepare consolidated monthly IR MIS for management review.
• Handle disciplinary actions, employee grievance management and attendance‑related issues.
• Ensure timely wage disbursement and monitor IR‑related man‑day losses.

Required profile

• Graduate or undergraduate degree with solid computer skills.
• Preferred MBA or MSW qualification.
• 4 to 7 years of relevant HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, DGMS guidelines and labour legislation.
