Assistant Manager – Finance

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Finance to join Valeo’s Site Financial Control team. The role supports month‑end closing, budgeting, forecasting and inventory cost management for a global high‑tech automotive supplier.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare raw material analysis reconciliation for month‑end closing and forecast.
• Perform variance analysis between actuals, budget and forecast.
• Validate supplier price modifications and supplementary invoices based on indexation and accrual provisions.
• Release standard costs in SAP, including direct and indirect cost baselines.
• Validate bill of materials and routing processes, ensuring correct cycle times and manpower in SAP.
• Conduct inventory valuation and slow‑moving/dead‑stock provision analysis for month‑end closing.
• Manage cycle counts and full inventory counts, creating action plans approved by the site financial controller.
• Co‑manage inventory counts and validate variances for reporting.
• Maintain the inventories internal control roadmap.
• Analyze tooling inventory against customer tooling orders and approved quotations.
• Validate capacity analysis during customer quote reviews.
• Handle project costing and variance analysis comparing actual, forecast and budget.
• Analyze and validate project and R&D costs & revenues for budget and mid‑term plan.
• Validate investment requests with relevant departments and financial controller, including payback and indicator analysis.
• Approve project & R&D purchase requisitions with internal order and IAR numbers.

• Management Controller (as indicated by the position title).

Required skills

• SAP (standard cost release, inventory, BOM and routing validation).
