Assistant Manager – Civil Engineering

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Civil (O3) will oversee planning, execution, monitoring, and maintenance of civil works for thermal power plants. This hands‑on role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate civil construction activities such as foundations, structural works, and auxiliary buildings.
• Supervise site operations to guarantee construction quality and adherence to engineering drawings and company standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and environmental teams to integrate civil work into overall project execution.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors, monitor performance, conduct audits, and enforce safety protocols.
• Implement quality control measures, conduct inspections and testing, and ensure material compliance.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and labor regulations while promoting Adani’s sustainability values.
• Prepare progress reports, cost estimates, and resource plans for senior management.
• Identify civil‑engineering risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Drive continuous improvement by adopting modern construction techniques and innovative materials.
• Facilitate training for junior engineers and field staff.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment to avoid project delays.
• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance of civil structures within the plant.
• Participate in regulatory audits and prepare compliance documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent desirable.
• Project Management certification is a plus.
