Assistant Manager – Cell Production (Shift Engineer)

About the role

Adani Solar is seeking an Assistant Manager for Cell Production to lead the Shift Engineer – Cluster – Wetline function. The role oversees production flow, machine operators, and ensures safe, efficient operations on the shop floor in line with the production plan.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise production flow, operator training, and deployment.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and check‑lists for machines and processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct safety checks and training.
• Monitor throughput, implement 5S, Kaizen, and Poka‑Yoke to maximise efficiency.
• Lead quality control circles, cost‑reduction projects and ensure product quality meets specifications.
• Collect production data, analyse trends and prepare MIS reports for management.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (cluster managers, technicians, QC inspectors) and external partners (equipment suppliers, maintenance contractors).

Required profile

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in semiconductor or solar manufacturing, specifically wet chemical processing and equipment operation.
• Experience in PCB manufacturing environments is a plus.
