Assistant Human Resources Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Human Resources Manager to support the HR function of a dynamic hotel operation. The role will assist in managing recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee engagement and statutory compliance across all hotel departments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for various hotel departments, including interview coordination, reference checks and joining formalities.
• Conduct employee orientation and ensure smooth onboarding processes.
• Maintain up‑to‑date manpower status, recruitment trackers and HR MIS reports.
• Support monthly payroll processing, verify attendance, overtime, deductions and coordinate with Finance for salary disbursements.
• Plan and execute employee engagement activities, recognition programs and welfare initiatives such as cafeteria, accommodation and uniforms.
• Identify training needs with department heads, coordinate training sessions and maintain training records.
• Ensure adherence to statutory compliance (PF, ESIC, gratuity, etc.) and maintain employee personnel files.
• Assist in audits, support HR policy implementation and disciplinary processes.
• Coordinate with manpower vendors, consultants and service providers, verifying bills, attendance and statutory compliance for contract staff.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information.
• Good knowledge of labour laws and statutory requirements relevant to the hospitality sector.
• Experience in recruitment, payroll administration and employee relations, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and external vendors.
