About the role
We are looking for an Assistant Cook (Level 2) to join our school kitchen team, preparing nutritious meals for students and staff while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to daily menus and specific dietary requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and food‑service areas.
- Manage kitchen inventory, record supplies, and order items as needed.
- Keep accurate records of food stocks and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and food‑safety regulations.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a cook in an educational or institutional setting.
- Food‑safety certification is an advantage.
Required skills
- Cooking and food‑preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements.
- Food‑safety and hygiene practices.
- Kitchen inventory management.
