Area Sales Manager – Transportation Safety (Delhi NCR)

About the role

3M’s Transportation Safety Division is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead sales and business development across the Delhi NCR region. You will champion road‑safety solutions, engage with public and private stakeholders, and expand the customer and channel partner network.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end relationships with customers and channel partners, including key account development.
• Build strong engagement with government authorities (PWD, NHAI, municipal corporations, police), road consultants and contractors.
• Identify customer challenges, propose tailored safety solutions and ensure 3M specifications are included in tenders.
• Conduct product demonstrations, seminars and awareness programmes to promote road‑safety offerings.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline using CRM tools (Salesforce) and generate accurate sales forecasts.
• Develop sales forecasts, execute marketing initiatives and achieve monthly and annual targets.
• Drive channel‑partner development, provide sales training and ensure timely receivable collection.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve complaints.

Required profile

• B.E. or MBA with a proven track record in B2B/institutional/government sales.
• 8‑10 years of core sales experience, preferably in infrastructure, industrial or government sectors.
• Familiarity with government departments and procedures (PWD, NHAI, municipal corporations, Smart Cities).
• Experience in infrastructure project sales, concept selling, seminar facilitation and specification‑based sales.
