Area Sales Manager

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will lead sales initiatives across a defined geographic zone, focusing on unsecured lending products. The role requires building and nurturing a strong DSA (Direct Sales Agent) network, driving new client acquisition, and ensuring high loan conversion and portfolio quality.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and execute sales growth opportunities at the local/area level, expanding channel presence and acquiring new accounts.
• Segment the market, approach potential direct clients, and structure customized loan offerings that meet client needs while delivering profitable margins.
• Develop and maintain a robust DSA network, influencing outcomes to meet sales targets and improve loan sanctioning turnaround times.
• Track and report on sales performance, productivity metrics, and SLA adherence, fostering a high‑performance sales culture.
• Ensure credit quality through effective pre‑screening and portfolio selection, minimizing potential NPAs.
• Maintain compliance with sales regulations despite market pressures.

Required profile

• Postgraduate qualification.
• 8‑10 years of total sales experience, with at least 4‑5 years in unsecured lending.
• Proven ability to build and manage DSA relationships and achieve sales targets.
• Strong commercial acumen, execution excellence, and sound product understanding.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
