Area Sales Manager

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will lead the promotion and distribution of veterinary pharmaceutical products for poultry and livestock across the Hyderabad region. This full‑time, on‑site role focuses on achieving sales targets, building strong relationships with distributors and farmers, and providing market intelligence to support product strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily field visits to distributors, retailers, and veterinary stakeholders.
• Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and farmer training sessions.
• Gather and report market intelligence on competitor activities and customer needs.
• Coordinate promotional activities and support marketing initiatives.
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecast demand, and ensure timely collection of payments.
• Maintain accurate records in CRM and sales tracking systems.

Required profile

• Strong sales and business development experience, preferably in the poultry or animal‑health sector.
• Proven ability to manage a territory, build pipelines, and negotiate with key accounts.
• Good understanding of veterinary, animal health, or agro‑based products; a degree in Veterinary Sciences, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Business or related field.
• Effective communication in local languages and English, both written and verbal.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using CRM or sales‑tracking systems.
• Familiarity with mobile reporting applications.
