About the role
The Area Sales Manager (Business Loans) is responsible for driving the sourcing and disbursement of SME and business loan products across Vadodara and adjoining markets. Reporting to senior leadership, the role leads a team of Sales Managers and works through referral partners, DSAs, and open‑market channels to expand the loan portfolio while maintaining credit quality and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 7–10 Sales Managers to meet sourcing and disbursement targets.
- Onboard, activate, and drive productivity of referral partners and DSAs.
- Develop and execute area sales plans based on market potential and competition.
- Build and nurture SME customer relationships and strengthen local market presence.
- Monitor funnel, disbursement, and portfolio quality metrics; coordinate with credit and operations for smooth processing.
- Track performance, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
- Support cross‑sell of additional lending solutions through the partner ecosystem.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading sales teams of 7–10 members.
- Hands‑on experience with SME or business loan products (e.g., Business Loans, LAP, Working Capital, Commercial Lending).
- Ability to develop area sales strategies and achieve aggressive sourcing and disbursement goals.
- Strong understanding of credit quality, NPA management, and regulatory compliance.
- Track record of building sustainable SME pipelines in competitive markets.
