Area Manager – Hyderabad Region

About the role

PMI is seeking an experienced Area Manager for the Hyderabad region to drive sales and distribution growth. You will analyze market conditions, coordinate with third‑party partners and EZDs, and deliver measurable market‑share improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business plans to meet shipment, in‑market sales and secondary sales targets.
• Implement the distribution strategy, ensuring coverage, hit rate and call frequency metrics are achieved.
• Mentor distributors and DSRs on incentive programs, target incentives and performance‑based pay.
• Build and maintain relationships with trade partners, identify high‑potential POS and wholesalers, and support RSM in negotiations.
• Lead third‑party merchandising teams and oversee point‑of‑sale material maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with PMI policies, local laws and marketing codes.
• Collect and update market data, retail dynamics and competitor intelligence to inform strategy.

Required profile

• BBA degree from a reputable institute.
• 3‑5 years of field sales experience.
• Strong analytical ability to translate market insights into action.
• Proven track record of achieving sales and distribution targets.
