About the role

The Area Credit Manager – Retail will lead the credit underwriting function for the Noida region, ensuring timely and sound credit decisions while managing risk exposure. The role collaborates closely with local credit analysts, sales teams, and senior management to drive growth in the unsecured retail lending portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee credit underwriting and review of all credit proposals submitted for the region.
• Facilitate quick turnaround of lending proposals in liaison with credit analysts and sales teams.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate credit risks, ensuring compliance with legal, documentation norms, and internal policies.
• Monitor ongoing credit exposures to confirm continued bankability and post‑disbursement creditworthiness.
• Approve credit proposals within delegated authority and recommend escalated cases to the Credit Committee.
• Guide, motivate, and manage a geographically dispersed team serving multiple business segments.
• Ensure adherence to process SOPs and maintain accurate documentation throughout the credit lifecycle.

Required profile

• Significant experience in credit analysis, underwriting, and risk management within retail or unsecured lending.
• Strong understanding of NBFC operations, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams across different locations.
• Excellent judgment for risk mitigation and decision‑making under tight timelines.
