Architect for Airbag Platform

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Software Architect to lead the design and development of the next‑generation Airbag Electronic Control Unit (ECU) platform. In this senior position you will define the software architecture, guide global technical teams and ensure the delivery of safe, scalable embedded software for automotive safety systems.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end software architecture for the Airbag ECU platform across the full lifecycle.
• Translate system requirements into modular, maintainable designs and produce High‑Level and Low‑Level Design documents.
• Define architectural guidelines, interfaces and design principles, and conduct architecture reviews.
• Perform requirement engineering, feasibility analysis, impact assessment and support change control boards.
• Ensure compliance with automotive safety standards and dependability requirements.
• Support embedded software development in C, drive complex debugging, root‑cause analysis and issue resolution.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor software leads and collaborate with system, test and project teams worldwide.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of experience in automotive embedded software development.
• Proven track record designing safety‑critical software for ECUs.
• Strong system‑thinking, decision‑making and communication skills.
• Experience leading technical teams and participating in platform roadmap discussions.
