Apprentice – Structures (12‑month program)

About the role

Join Airbus India’s Structures department for a 12‑month apprenticeship focused on aircraft materials and processes. You will work on sustainability, digitalisation, and safety assessments while gaining hands‑on experience in a global aerospace environment.

Key responsibilities

• Understand materials and manufacturing processes used in aircraft production.
• Evaluate sustainability and carbon‑footprint impacts of materials and processes.
• Assess environmental, health and safety (EHS) implications of material choices.
• Support digitalisation of material data and explore AI/ML applications in material science.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate (undergraduate or postgraduate) in Aerospace, Mechanical, Materials Science or Chemical Engineering.
• No prior full‑time professional experience (internships and academic projects are acceptable).
• Willingness to commit to the full 12‑month apprenticeship.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of metals and composite materials.
• Understanding of metal and composite manufacturing processes.
• Basic proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript or C++).
• Introductory knowledge of data science, machine learning or AI concepts.
