App Security Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an App Security Specialist to protect Android applications from malicious threats. The role focuses on analyzing APK files, reverse‑engineering suspicious binaries, and applying security best‑practices to safeguard mobile users.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze Android applications (APKs) and their binaries to identify potential threats.
• Perform reverse engineering of malicious APKs, including handling obfuscated code.
• Conduct static and dynamic malware analysis using industry‑standard tools.
• Classify potentially harmful applications (PHA) on the Android platform.
• Apply security standards such as OWASP Top 10, OWASP ESAPI, SANS Top 25, and WASC.
• Document findings and communicate technical details to cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in mobile security, reverse engineering, or malware analysis.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and self‑motivation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Android OS and application development (Java).
• Reverse engineering of Android packages (APK).
• Malware analysis and swift detection techniques.
• Experience with assembly language and obfuscated code.
• Static and dynamic analysis of malicious binaries.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, OWASP ESAPI, SANS Top 25, WASC.
• Proficiency with tools such as IDA Pro and OllyDbg.
