Android Developer (Native, BLE / Connected Devices)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Native Android Developer to create and maintain mobile applications that interface with smart hardware via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The role involves close collaboration with Cloud, Firmware, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver reliable, high‑performance releases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop native Android apps using Kotlin and the Android SDK.
• Design and implement new features based on product specifications.
• Maintain existing codebases, fixing bugs and optimizing performance.
• Integrate with backend services (REST, GraphQL) hosted on AWS.
• Handle BLE communication, including scanning, GATT services, and security protocols.
• Implement UI/UX following Material Design and design guidelines.
• Manage app store submissions, builds, and release pipelines.
• Write unit and UI tests, conduct code reviews, and maintain documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues using analytics and crash data.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong expertise in Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and XML layouts.
• Deep understanding of concurrency with Coroutines and Flow.
• Proficiency in MVVM, Clean Architecture, and dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger).
• Experience with background processing (WorkManager, services) and performance tuning.
• Solid knowledge of BLE stack, GATT, and secure communication.
