Android Developer

About the role

BabyBillion, India’s leading kids content brand, is expanding its digital products and needs an Android Developer to build and enhance its flagship BabyBillion app, which already has over 1 million downloads. You will work on a high‑scale mobile experience used daily by millions of children and parents.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and ship features for the BabyBillion Android app using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Build core experiences such as content discovery, video playback, onboarding and engagement loops.
• Optimize performance, battery usage and UI smoothness across a wide range of Android devices, including low‑end phones.
• Integrate APIs, manage state and ensure a polished user experience.
• Collaborate on Kotlin Multiplatform modules to share business logic with iOS.
• Translate Figma designs into pixel‑perfect, responsive, accessible UI components.
• Maintain code quality with Git workflows, code reviews, unit/UI tests and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor app performance, analytics and crash reports, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of solid Android development experience.
• Strong ownership mindset – able to take a feature from specification to production.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, small product team.
