Android Developer – Build Reusable Component Libraries

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to create reusable component libraries for our design system. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams in the US and India to deliver high‑quality Android features that power 7‑Eleven’s digital experiences across thousands of stores.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable UI components using Kotlin/Java.
• Implement layouts with Jetpack Compose or XML, ensuring responsiveness on a variety of devices.
• Write unit tests with JUnit and Mockito to guarantee code reliability.
• Integrate RESTful APIs using Retrofit and manage local persistence with Room.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies: daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Document feature specifications and technical decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience developing native Android applications.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
