Airbag SW Architect

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking an experienced Airbag Software Architect to lead the design and development of safety‑critical embedded software for automotive airbag systems. You will work within a global engineering team, ensuring high‑quality, dependable solutions that meet stringent automotive standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead model‑based software development (MBSD) for medium to large scale projects.
• Write, review, and maintain C/C++ code for embedded systems.
• Define, implement, and verify dependability requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop and review High‑Level Design (HLD) and Low‑Level Design (LLD) artifacts.
• Participate in requirement engineering, change request (CR) and problem management processes.
• Mentor software leads, engineers, and test teams to achieve project goals.
• Collaborate with project managers on effort estimation and resource planning.
• Communicate architecture decisions and updates to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of embedded automotive software development experience.
• Strong background in RTOS‑based systems and safety‑critical applications.
• Proven ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
