Advocate – Litigation & Advisory (Full-time)

About the role

Devgun Law Associates is seeking a qualified Advocate to join its Sonipat office on a full‑time, on‑site basis. The successful candidate will support the firm’s litigation and advisory practice, working directly with clients on a variety of commercial and industrial matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file petitions, suits, written statements, contracts and legal opinions.
• Appear before courts and tribunals, present oral arguments, examine witnesses and submit evidence.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Maintain accurate case files, documentation and deadlines.
• Consult with clients to explain legal options and advise on risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with senior lawyers and external stakeholders on complex matters.

Required profile

• LL.B. (or equivalent) from a recognized institution and enrollment with a Bar Council, eligible to practice in relevant courts.
• Strong analytical ability to apply statutory and case law to client issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to simplify complex legal concepts.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize tasks and meet filing deadlines.
• Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality and Bar Council regulations.

Required skills

• Legal research using standard tools and databases.
• Drafting of pleadings, notices, contracts and legal opinions.
• Oral advocacy in court settings.
