About the role

Join the growing pharmacy team at Borders General Hospital as an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist focused on cancer and palliative care. You will work within a multidisciplinary environment delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred pharmaceutical care and supporting service development across the East Region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced pharmaceutical practice for day‑case cancer and palliative care patients.
• Develop and implement evidence‑based, cost‑effective prescribing protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and SCAN network colleagues to enhance service delivery.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to professional development initiatives.
• Participate in service innovation, audit, and quality improvement projects.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Independent Prescribing qualification.
• Master of Pharmacy degree (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience in clinical pharmacy, preferably within oncology or palliative care.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice and service development.
