ADAS Architect – Domain Knowledge Functions

About the role

Bosch is looking for an experienced ADAS Architect to lead the design and documentation of advanced driver assistance systems. You will own the technical architecture across software, hardware and safety domains, ensuring alignment with platform strategies and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define, document and communicate architecture and design for ADAS layers.
• Evaluate stakeholder requirements and translate them into architecture drivers.
• Lead architecture reviews and incorporate safety (ISO 26262) and security (ISO 21434) considerations.
• Specify component interfaces, assign software requirements, and collaborate on component design.
• Support decision‑making for project design in line with Bosch platform strategy.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in automotive software development.
• Strong background in embedded systems, real‑time operating systems and multi‑core SoCs.
• Hands‑on experience with AUTOSAR (Classic and Adaptive) and automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and ASPICE development processes.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of ADAS (L2/L2+), Radar, Ultrasonic and Camera‑based systems.
• Requirement management tools (DOORS, Docs as Code, Codebeamer).
• Safety standards (ISO 26262) and security standards (ISO 21434).
• Design tools (Flux, Enterprise Architect) and development tools (VSCode, Trace32).
• Programming in C, C++ with performance optimisation, concurrency and hardware acceleration (GPU/DSP/NPU).
• System/HW architecture of embedded microcontrollers and SoCs.
• Software testing and test environment setup.
