Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will join the offshore finance team supporting the Olde Thompson business. Reporting to the US Finance Manager, you will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and act as the primary accounting liaison for US‑based finance leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a small team of junior accounting staff in India, assigning work, reviewing output and ensuring timely delivery.
• Coordinate month‑end close, AR/AP oversight, and financial reporting with US counterparts.
• Maintain accurate balance‑sheet records for prepaids, accruals, deposits and deferred items.
• Ensure sub‑ledger to general‑ledger integrity across AR, AP, inventory and fixed‑asset cycles.
• Prepare and review journal entries with proper documentation and internal‑control compliance.
• Provide audit‑ready documentation, aging schedules and roll‑forwards for all balance‑sheet accounts.
• Identify, investigate and resolve aged or unusual balances promptly.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with full‑cycle accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop junior accounting staff.
• Excellent cross‑cultural communication skills for effective collaboration with US finance leaders.
• High degree of ownership and attention to detail.
