Accountant – US GAAP & Investment Instruments

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our Bangalore office on a hybrid schedule. The role supports core accounting operations, financial reporting, and analysis, with a focus on journal entries, bank reconciliations, and investment‑related accounting under US GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations and post bank operational entries.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities.
• Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, accounting rules, and regulations.
• Analyze and reconcile data across profit & loss, cash flow, income statement, and balance‑sheet accounts.
• Account for investment instruments such as time deposits, money‑market funds, commercial deposits, and equity investments.
• Support accounting for financing instruments, including convertible debt.
• Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and documentation for audits and internal reviews.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and provide required financial information.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and support automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, or controllership roles.
• Experience with US GAAP reporting environment.
• Knowledge of accounting for investment and financing instruments.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets.
• Experience with Workday ERP systems (preferred).
