Accountant – Travel Industry

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Accountant to join our travel and events business in Lucknow. The role will support the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate records, timely payments and compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals and supporting documentation.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, manage vendor payments and customer invoicing.
• Prepare periodic financial reports, budgets and cash‑flow statements.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations and assist with internal and external audits.
• Support tax preparation, filing and compliance with applicable financial regulations.
• Assist in budgeting, financial analysis and forecasting for the travel agency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA or similar certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in accounting, preferably within the travel or hospitality sector.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines and collaborate across teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP.
