Accountant II

About the role

Worley is seeking an Accountant II to join its Kolkata team. You will support global project finance operations, handling month‑end close, reporting and analysis while collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Complete month‑end activities: journal entry preparation, trial‑balance review, cash & bank, fixed assets, intercompany reconciliation and validation of HFM/FCC forms.
• Prepare and approve balance‑sheet reconciliations and investigate open items.
• Perform variance analysis (actual vs budget/forecast) and provide clear commentary on key drivers.
• Support business planning, scenario analysis and the preparation of management packs, dashboards and executive summaries.
• Conduct financial analysis and forecasting using Oracle EPM and FCC.
• Liaise with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, tax, controllership and other finance functions.
• Assist with system enhancements, UAT and automation initiatives.
• Maintain accurate accounting records for receipts, disbursements, revenue, accruals and other transactions.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and support tax return filings.

Required profile

• Solid experience in accounting and month‑end close processes.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, variance analysis and budgeting.
• Ability to work across multiple time zones and collaborate with global teams.
• Strong organizational and workflow management skills.
