Accountant – FMCG Distribution

About the role

Falcon Traders, a leading FMCG super‑stockist in Kashmir, is seeking a full‑time Accountant to join its Srinagar office. You will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions and supporting the company’s trading operations.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial entries, maintain ledgers and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare and issue invoices, monitor accounts receivable and payable.
• Assist with payroll processing and inventory‑related accounting for FMCG products.
• Produce periodic financial reports and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with operations and sales teams to provide accurate financial data for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong background in financial accounting and bookkeeping.
• Experience with invoicing, billing, AR/AP management.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.
• Basic knowledge of taxation and compliance relevant to FMCG distribution.
• Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to work on‑site in Srinagar and communicate clearly in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field; professional certifications are a plus.
• Prior experience in FMCG, distribution or trading environments is preferred but not mandatory.
