Accountant – Fixed Assets

About the role

Volvo Group Accounting and Company Control in Bangalore is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage fixed‑asset accounting, month‑end close, and financial reporting. You will work closely with Volvo Group partners and contribute to the accuracy of financial statements while supporting sustainable transport initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain SAP master data (FI/CO) and manage fixed‑asset cycles, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, retirements, and transfers.
• Prepare monthly fixed‑asset reconciliations, capex budgeting, internal order and WBS creation, and settlement of assets.
• Record business transactions in the General Ledger and generate financial reports.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with IFRS and Volvo Group financial policies.
• Collaborate daily with internal clients and monitor business transactions for accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce.
• 3–5 years of experience in fixed‑asset accounting, month‑end close, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of SAP FI/CO, GL, AP, AR, and FA modules.
• Familiarity with IFRS and corporate financial policies.
