Accountant – Exports & Trade Finance

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Accountant specialized in exports and trade finance to join our team in Cuddalore. The role involves managing end‑to‑end accounting operations, trade finance activities, and compliance for a diversified business spanning automobile, FMCG, export‑import and IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Handle export‑import accounting, including preparation and posting of transactions.
• Prepare and manage Letter of Credit (LC) documentation and ensure compliance with UCP 600 standards.
• Oversee export shipping documentation and coordinate with logistics partners.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable, cash flow, and treasury functions.
• Ensure VAT, taxation and statutory compliance across all operations.
• Process payroll and maintain accurate employee records.
• Produce financial reports, MIS statements and support management decision‑making.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in export/import or trading companies.
• B.Com, BBA or MBA in Finance/Commerce.
• Exposure to UAE/GCC accounting practices is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple compliance requirements.
