Accountant – Day-to-Day Accounting & Finance

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of Healing Saathi Animal Sanctuary & Veterinary Hospital. The role involves maintaining accurate records, ensuring statutory compliance and supporting the organization’s financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including recording receipts, payments, expenses, vouchers and journal entries.
• Maintain petty cash, cash books, ledgers and perform bank reconciliations.
• Track, reconcile and record all donations received through various payment channels.
• Maintain donor records and provide accurate data for Form 10BD filing.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and ensure proper accounting documentation.
• Collaborate with the Chartered Accountant on GST, TDS, audits, statutory compliances and financial reporting.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Undertake additional finance and accounts-related tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• B.Com, M.Com or equivalent qualification in Commerce/Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Tally accounting software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Good understanding of GST, TDS and general bookkeeping principles.
