About the role
The Academic Secretary provides high‑level administrative and academic coordination support to the Principal’s Office. This position acts as a central hub for communication between the Principal, staff, students, parents, and external partners, ensuring smooth and confidential handling of all office operations.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive secretarial and administrative assistance to the Principal.
- Manage the Principal’s calendar, appointments, meetings, and official correspondence.
- Prepare agendas, reports, presentations, circulars, and meeting minutes.
- Screen calls, emails, and visitors professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain confidential files, records, and documentation for the office.
- Ensure timely communication and follow‑up on action items from meetings.
- Arrange logistics for conferences, workshops, and official visits.
- Handle sensitive matters with discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Education, Business Management, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in academic administration, executive assistance, or secretarial roles.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, documentation, and reporting abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and perform under pressure.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Experience using academic ERP systems and other IT tools.
