Wiring Harness Design Specialist – Siemens NX

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies is seeking a Wiring Harness Design Specialist with strong expertise in Siemens NX Electrical Routing. The role involves creating 3D routing solutions and detailed documentation for automotive and industrial wiring systems.

Key responsibilities

• Create and develop 3D wiring harness routes using Siemens NX Electrical Routing module according to packaging and design specifications.
• Prepare 2D flattening drawings, including wire lengths, bundle diameters, and branch details.
• Define and manage connectors, clips, clamps, and protective coverings in the NX library.
• Perform routing feasibility checks, bend‑radius analysis, clearance verification, and ensure compliance with design standards.
• Generate and maintain BOMs, wiring tables, and harness documentation for manufacturing and validation.
• Assess electrical characteristics and EMC impacts of harness designs.

Required profile

• BE in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in wiring harness design or similar engineering roles.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities.
• Analytical problem‑solving mindset with a focus on quality.
• Proactive, quick learner capable of working independently.

Required skills

• Siemens NX (UG‑NX) – medium to expert level.
• Teamcenter.
• AutoCAD.
• Good knowledge of electrical components and data‑sheet interpretation.
• GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Experience coordinating with tooling suppliers.
• Proficiency with configuration files, templates, and mechanical standards.
