Windows Infrastructure & Patching Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Windows Infrastructure & Patching Engineer with 5–11 years of hands‑on experience in Windows infrastructure operations and patch management. The role involves managing and maintaining Windows environments, ensuring availability, performance and stability while planning and executing patch cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Windows infrastructure environments, ensuring availability, performance, and operational stability.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute Windows patching cycles (monthly/adhoc), including pre‑checks, deployment, and post‑validation.
• Perform patch impact analysis, risk assessment, and scheduling aligned with maintenance windows and change governance.
• Troubleshoot patching failures and infrastructure issues; conduct root‑cause analysis and implement preventive fixes.
• Maintain patch compliance reporting, dashboards, and audit‑ready documentation for stakeholders and security teams.
• Coordinate with application owners to validate services after patching and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Support Windows Server administration activities such as health checks, capacity monitoring, and incident/problem management.
• Drive standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and continuous improvements for patching and infrastructure operations.

Required profile

• Strong working knowledge of Windows and Windows Server administration in enterprise environments.
• Proven troubleshooting skills across Windows infrastructure, including patch‑related failures and service disruptions.
• Experience executing patching processes with clear validation steps, rollback planning, and change coordination.
• Ability to perform root‑cause analysis and implement preventive fixes.
• Experience maintaining documentation and reporting for stakeholders and security teams.
