Welding Technician – Ship Construction & Repair

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Welding Technician to join our marine and industrial engineering team. The successful candidate will perform welding tasks for ship construction, repair, and equipment fabrication, ensuring high-quality welds that meet marine standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces by grinding, cleaning and positioning parts before welding.
• Execute structural and pipe welding in marine environments using MIG, TIG, aluminum and arc welding techniques.
• Inspect welds to verify compliance with required quality standards and marine/industrial specifications.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition for safety and efficiency.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding diagrams and technical drawings to execute work accurately.

Required profile

• ITI certification, diploma or proven welding experience.
• Valid IRS and LRS certificates (mandatory).
• Knowledge of marine and industrial welding standards.
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures in welding environments.
