Welder – Gas Power Field Services

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Welder to join our Gas Power Field Services team. The role involves cutting, shaping and assembling metal components and piping for power generation equipment, ensuring high precision and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Select and use appropriate tools and equipment to perform welding tasks.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and welding procedures to fabricate and repair components.
• Operate hand grinders to restore welds to original shape and contour.
• Use oxy‑acetylene and gas torches for cutting and heating operations.
• Review and document quality records as required.
• Travel domestically and internationally and work holidays, weekends and overtime as needed.
• Perform additional duties to support field operations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to comply with ISO certification requirements.
• Preferable experience with power‑generation equipment such as gas or steam turbines.
• Willingness to work in a field environment with extensive travel.

• Welding – TIG and other processes.
• Oxy‑acetylene torch operation.
• Gas torch operation.

• Operation of jacking fixtures, cranes and forklifts.
