Warehouse Team Lead

About the role

The Warehouse Team Lead will drive the agricultural supply chain for potato production in Assam, supporting the Regional Manager in implementing the Extension Model for farmer connectivity. This role ensures continuous, month‑wise supply of potatoes to the plant, modernises storage, and builds strategic relationships with local authorities and farmer groups.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team and assist the Regional Manager in extending farmer connectivity and supply continuity.
• Identify, develop and sustain new and existing agro‑contract farming pockets in Assam.
• Oversee storage modernization, cold‑store compliance and quality lab set‑up, including cook‑test reporting.
• Manage seed allocation, post‑planting supervision and adherence to POP standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with farmers, cooperatives, NGOs, government officials and mandi boards.
• Drive water‑positive initiatives such as drip irrigation, SFP and DSR.
• Support R&D projects on new varieties, POPs and agronomic inputs.
• Prepare documentation for seed sales, procurement, transit and audit compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in agricultural supply chain or cold‑storage management.
• Leadership experience with team coordination and knowledge transfer.
• Strong ability to engage with farmer groups, cooperatives and government bodies.
• Familiarity with potato farming cycles and extension models.
