Walk‑in Recruitment for 48 Project Staff Positions at CSIR NML

About the role

CSIR National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML) is conducting a walk‑in recruitment drive for 48 project‑staff positions across multiple scientific and technical streams. Selected candidates will join time‑bound research projects at the Jamshedpur campus and contribute to the laboratory’s core activities in metallurgy, materials science and mineral processing.

Key responsibilities

• Execute assigned scientific or engineering tasks within the designated project, following laboratory protocols.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, data records and progress reports for project monitoring.

Required profile

• Indian nationality with age limits as specified for each post (e.g., maximum 35 years for most positions, 28 years for Project‑JRF).
• Relevant educational qualification as listed for the specific vacancy (e.g., ITI, diploma, B.Sc., B.Tech, M.Tech, Ph.D.).

Required skills

• Proficiency in office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets).
• Basic database management and record‑keeping abilities.

What we offer

• Monthly salary ranging from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 77,000 plus HRA, depending on the post and qualification.
• Additional HRA benefits as per government norms.
