Virtual Medical Assistant – Medical Scribe & Patient Support (Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized, detail‑oriented, and compassionate Virtual Medical Assistant to support a boutique menopause medicine practice. The role is fully remote, part‑time (30 hours per week) and involves live clinical documentation, patient communication, scheduling, payments, and administrative workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Live medical scribing and clinical documentation during patient consultations, using EMR templates and pre‑populating intake forms.
• Manage patient communication via phone, text and email, conduct pre‑screening calls, explain the cash‑pay model and handle scheduling, reminders and follow‑ups.
• Coordinate upfront payments, communicate expectations and maintain accurate payment records.
• Retrieve laboratory results from external portals, upload reports to the EMR and ensure proper document organization.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and highly organized with a compassionate approach to patient interaction.
• Previous experience as a medical scribe or virtual medical assistant in a low‑volume, high‑touch practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to follow structured processes.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and adhering to a Monday‑Friday 9 am‑3 pm schedule.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and template‑based documentation.
• Ability to navigate external laboratory portals and manage digital files.
