Vehicle Operator, Autopilot

About the role

We are seeking a motivated self‑starter to join our vehicle data collection team in Mumbai. As a Prototype Vehicle Operator you will drive an engineering vehicle for extended periods, capturing audio and camera data that supports testing and training of autonomous driving systems.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the engineering vehicle for 5‑8 hours daily in a designated area while recording sensor data.
• Start, stop, and monitor recording devices; perform minor equipment or software debugging as needed.
• Analyze data quality after each shift and report findings.
• Provide feedback to improve data‑collection processes.
• Write detailed daily drive reports documenting observations, issues, and vehicle status.
• Conduct pre‑shift safety checks to ensure vehicle operational readiness.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Flexibility to work day, afternoon or night shifts and occasional weekends.
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience managing data‑collection tools and troubleshooting hardware/software.
• Familiarity with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving Systems (ADS).
