Transportation Specialist – Central Operations

About the role

The Network Operations Center (NOC) is Amazon's central command for transportation execution across multiple geographies. As a Transportation Specialist in Central Operations, you will act as the single point of contact for route planning, scheduling and payments for last‑mile stations in LATAM and AMET regions, ensuring smooth freight movement from vendors to fulfillment centers and onward to carrier hubs.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and operations teams to resolve customer escalations and drive continuous improvement.
• Analyze historical transportation data, identify trends, and initiate programs to enhance visibility and efficiency.
• Develop and refine SOPs and process changes to reduce exceptions and automate workflows.
• Maintain and improve visibility tools, ensuring granular, actionable data for internal and external partners.
• Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders (CS, MM, LM, FC, Transportation Program, HR) to keep them informed of issue resolution.
• Manage route plans, scheduling, and payments for last‑mile stations across LATAM and AMET.
• Support a culture of ownership by taking end‑to‑end responsibility for customer issues.
