Trainer – HIM Coding & Clinical Documentation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Trainer to deliver high‑quality training in Health Information Management (HIM) coding and clinical documentation. The ideal candidate will design and execute curricula for freshers and experienced staff, ensuring alignment with operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess training needs across the organization.
• Develop individual and group training programs targeting specific operational requirements.
• Create training manuals and curriculum for various specialties, including emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings.
• Implement effective training methods and monitor their impact on performance.
• Communicate clearly with team members, management, and clients.
• Manage technology and technical personnel needed for training delivery.
• Plan and track training initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience as a trainer, preferably in HIM or medical coding.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience training fresh graduates and certification candidates.
• Ability to learn new concepts quickly.

Required skills

• Proficiency in HIM coding.
• Specialty knowledge in Emergency, Outpatient, Inpatient, or Emergency Department coding.
• Understanding of denial management processes.
• Certification from AAPC or AHIMA.
