Title Searcher/Examiner - Practice Lead

About the role

HiTech Digital Solutions, a global technology and digital solutions company with over 1,200 employees, is launching PropIntel, an AI-powered real estate document intelligence platform, and a new Title Search & Underwriting practice. It is looking for an experienced Title Searcher/Examiner to set up and lead this practice, building delivery capabilities, defining processes and training teams so the organization can serve title companies and underwriters.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the new Title Search & Underwriting practice.
• Define end-to-end process frameworks, SOPs, quality standards and turnaround benchmarks.
• Build, train and mentor a team of title searchers and examiners in India.
• Develop standard approaches for current owner search, full search, chain of title, legal description and vesting analysis.
• Act as domain authority for complex files, edge cases and underwriting-level decisions.
• Work with AI and Product teams to give domain input for PropIntel and identify automation-ready workflows.
• Support pilots, POCs and readiness for future title clients, and contribute to sales enablement.
• Ensure data security, confidentiality and compliance from day one.

Required profile

• 3-7 years of hands-on experience in US Title Search, Title Examination or Title Underwriting.
• Prior experience setting up or scaling title operations, teams or delivery units.
• Ability to work independently and define structure in an early-stage practice.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain complex title concepts to non-domain teams.
• Preferred: direct experience with US title companies, underwriters or lenders, offshore transition experience, interest in automation/AI workflows, and experience with technology or product engineering teams.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of county recorder records, deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments and releases.
• Deep understanding of chain of title, legal descriptions and vesting.
